Handmade silver jewellery inspired by nature, texture and timeless design, created in my Bournemouth studio.
My journey into silversmithing began in 2010 at evening classes at Poole College. What started as a hobby quickly became a creative outlet that brought both focus and enjoyment. After taking time out to have my daughter, I launched Michelle Giles Jewellery in 2016 alongside my career. Since then, it has grown into a small business I am proud to share.
Each piece is handcrafted using a blend of traditional silversmithing and silver clay techniques. I work primarily with sterling silver and often incorporate semi precious stones to add colour and individuality.
My designs are influenced by organic shapes, natural textures and the quiet elegance of silver, creating jewellery that feels tactile, wearable and personal. The collection includes silver rings, pendants, bracelets and bangles, all made with care and attention to detail. These are pieces designed to be worn every day or given as meaningful gifts that will be treasured over time.
Alongside my online shop, I regularly attend local artisan markets and fairs across Dorset and Hampshire where you can discover exclusive designs, including stacking rings and limited edition pieces not available online. It is also a chance to try pieces on and experience the textures and finishes in person.
